Sunday Supper - December 14, 2008
Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 10:57AM Hiccups are part of the job. A miscommunication sent us scrambling to serve our Sunday Suppers out of our cars when a planning glitch resulted in a late arrival of the van. Then, a couple of days later, I got a call that the winter clothing had arrived, but was delivered to the wrong location - Aldersgate church in Alexandria instead of our current storage space at the National City Christian Church in DC. Nothing that can't be handled with a few extra trips and a smile...
What did make our friends smile tonight were the handwarmers we distributed. We'll get pictures of them up soon. They stay warm for 10 hours and will come in handy on cold winter nights. Thanks to Charles for organizing this!
NOTE: Check out the Archive section for a new Sunday Supper profile on one of our key volunteers!
